About Kattappavae Kaanom movie : Kattappava Kanom is a Tamil comedy film written and directed by Mani Seiyon, starring Sibiraj and Aishwarya Rajesh in the leading roles.
Who can forget Kattappa, the slave warrior role made memorable by veteran Sathyaraj in Baahubali? After the film’s release, the 60-year-old actor was called ‘Kattappa’ wherever he went! Now to cash in on the character’s popularity, that's why Sathyaraj’s son Sibiraj’s flick had been titled Kattappavae Kaanom. The movie has Aishwarya Rajesh of Kakka Muttai fame playing the female lead.
Director Mani, a former assistant to Arivazhagan and Nandhini talked about the intriguing title, he said, “It is an out-an-out comedy flick. There is an important character and we needed a reputed name to play him — even as we were discussing it, Sibi entered and suggested ‘Why not Kattappa?’. We thought it was really apt and used it, which eventually became the title.” (laughs)
While Sibi plays an aspiring entrepreneur in the city-based film KK, Aishwarya who essays his wife is a happy-go-lucky girl who supports her husband in his endeavours. Actress Aishwarya had as much screen time as the hero.
